Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

1. comprehend the mechanism of action and safety of atypical antipsychotics in depression versus psychosis,
2. identify the pharmacological differences between the various atypical antipsychotics with regards to their antidepressant potential, and
3. describe the optimal regimens of atypical antipsychotics in depression.
