Accreditation

Attendees who complete the accredited self-assessment program (available in September), participate in a pre-conference course, as well as attend all three days of the conference can earn up to 29.5 credits (i.e., 20.5 credits in section 1 and 9 credits in section 3).

Group Learning (Section 1)
This event is an accredited group learning activity (section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Canadian Psychiatric Association. You may claim a maximum of 20.5 hours (credits are automatically calculated).

Participants may claim a maximum of 3 hours on Wednesday (for any of the three pre-conference courses, PC01, PC02 or PC03), 6 hours on Thursday, 7 hours on Friday, and 4.5 hours on Saturday.

Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert Royal College MOC credit to AMA credit can be found at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications.

Live educational activities recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) are deemed by the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) eligible for ECMEC®.

College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) Affiliate members may claim credit hours earned at this conference towards their Mainpro+ credit requirements. All other CFPC members may claim up to 50 Certified credits per cycle for participation in Royal College MOC Section 1 accredited activities.

Self-Assessment (Section 3)
This is an option only for those CPA members who register for one or more days of the annual conference program and who complete the accredited Annual Conference Self-Assessment Program 2023, online. The accredited SAP will be available in September.
