Accreditation

Attendees who complete the accredited self-assessment program, participate in the simulation session and a pre-conference course, as well as attend all three days of the conference can earn up to 39.75 credits (i.e., 19.5 credits in section 1 and 20.25 credits in section 3).

Group Learning (Section 1)
This event is an accredited group learning activity (section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Canadian Psychiatric Association. You may claim a maximum of 19.5 hours (credits are automatically calculated).

Participants may claim a maximum of 3 hours on Wednesday (for either pre-conference course, PC01 or PC02), 6 hours on Thursday, 6 hours on Friday, and 4.5 hours on Saturday.

Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. More information on the process to convert Royal College MOC credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.

Live educational activities recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) are deemed by the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) eligible for ECMEC®.

Simulation (Section 3)
This is an option only for those participants who register for the simulation activity, SE01 – Introduction to Simulation in Acute Care Psychiatry: Virtual Reality Suicide Risk Assessment and Responding to Medical Emergencies, which will be held Oct. 26, 2022.

This activity is an accredited simulation activity (section 3) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Canadian Psychiatric Association. You may claim a maximum of 3.75 hours (credits are automatically calculated).

Self-Assessment (Section 3)
This is an option only for those CPA members who register for one or more days of the annual conference program and who complete the accredited Annual Conference Self-Assessment Program 2022, online.
