The CPA invites coverage of its Annual Conference by working journalists, preferably those with experience in reporting on science and/or health. Working journalists are those who have bylines (print), or are regular reporters on broadcast media (TV, radio, online) for mainstream media or established trade media. Journalists working for well-known and established scientific web publications may also be accredited.
Freelance writers will only be accredited upon receipt of a letter of assignment on the official letterhead of the media organization from which they are receiving their assignment. This should be signed by the publisher, assignment editor or bureau chief and should specify the freelance journalist’s name and title, and the period for which accreditation is sought.
Journalists must be accredited and registered to attend the Annual Conference. Journalists must also adhere to the code of conduct as well as the health and safety policies. Advertising personnel, media sales executives, and public relations representatives do not qualify for media credentials.
