Dear Colleague,
It is with deep pleasure and meaning that the organizing committees of the upcoming Congress welcomes psychiatrists, theologians, clinicians and all interested in the interface between religion, spirituality and mental health to the International Congress in Religion, Spirituality and Psychiatry.
What more appropriate place could there be than Jerusalem to have this important meeting. The venue of our meeting is Mishkenot Sha’ananim, a 150 year old structure facing the Old City walls that was endowed by the British philanthropist Sir Moses Montefiore in 1860 and which also houses the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS). The setting is conducive to scholarly discussions as well as multi-cultural explorations into the Jewish Quarter, the Muslim Quarter and the Christian Quarter of the Old City as well as old / new sites such as The Shrine of the Book, a wing of the Israel Museum housing the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest copy of the Bible in existence.
Our scientific program includes both scholarly stars in the field of the study of religion and psychiatry as well as clinicians with deep experience working at this interface.
We promise you all a warm welcome in Jerusalem.
With best wishes
