CPD Credits

The Canadian Psychiatric Association’s (CPA) 66th Annual Conference is an accredited group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), approved by the CPA. Participants in the program may claim a maximum of 24 hours for the entire conference. (i.e. maximum of 4 hours on Wednesday [pre-conference courses], 8 hours on Thursday, 7.5 hours on Friday and 4.5 hours on Saturday).

Through an agreement between the RCPSC and the American Medical Association (AMA), physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(TM). Information on the process to convert Royal College MOC credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.

Live educational activities, occurring in Canada, recognized by the RCPSC as Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) are deemed by by the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) eligible for ECME.

The CPA may also apply for credits from other colleges deemed appropriate by the Annual Conference Program Subcommittee.
