Dr. Mélanie-Rose Frappier, a psychiatry resident at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University, for her leadership, compassion and dedication to culturally inclusive mental health care. A proud Métis and Francophone physician, she is deeply committed to improving access to care for Indigenous communities in Northern Ontario. Her research examines how Indigenous healing practices can be integrated into inpatient psychiatric care, and her findings have already informed real-world policy changes at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

Dr. Jacquelyn Paquet received the Member-in-Training Award of Excellence for her work on improving psychiatric training and healthcare access in remote communities, emphasizing Indigenous health and equity.

Dr. Jennie Pouget received the Member-in-Training Award of Excellence for her innovative use of computational science to predict mental illness risks in young adults.

Dr. Alexandre Hudon, from Montreal, Quebec, received the inaugural Member-in-Training Award of Excellence. In addition to his research delving into ways of combining digital artificial intelligence methods with clinical psychiatry, he is committed to issues related to residents’ well-being and is deeply involved in the Association des résidents en psychiatrie de l’Université de Montréal.
